The lighthouse keeper
“The Lighthouse keeper” made in commission. Life size bronze sculpture for the old lighthouse in Harlingen. He lives in a small house at the foot of the lighthouse and walks out in to the garden, to check the light.

Love me tender
One of my earliest sources of inspiration is the work of Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980). In her time, she was a very progressive artist. In a beautifully polished Art Deco style she painted mostly independent women. These women were the inspiration for my work Love me tender.
We all wish for more love and tolerance towards each other in the world. These two girls, both from different origine, and in love with each other, need it even more.

Every day people all over the world for different reasons are forced to leave everything they know, and sometimes every one they love behind. Their lives change for ever because they have to leave home.
