“Time” and “personal” are both central themes in Sanders work. Through her camera she not just captures a moment in time, but she strives to show more of the personal processes of people. In her work the individual is most important, what ever the subject is, business editorials, portraits, nature or pregnancy, her photography tells a story.

No Return reveiled by Harlingen Mayor Ina Sjerps

Last October 13th my sculpture ‘No Return’ was officially revealed by Mayor Ina Sjerps in Harlingen who gave a beautiful speech about the subject of the sculpture.
Harlingen is a place where people come and go over the years, and a lot of people who need shelter have had found it in Harlingen. The city Harlingen was there for given the sculpture by mrs. Hans Boonstra.
The sculpture ’No Return’ represents people all over the world who are in danger and have to leave country and everything they consider home behind, and seek shelter somewhere else in the world. These people need our compassion and with my work ’No Return’ I hope to achieve that.
